Rainforest After Dark Experience

At night, the rainforest transforms into a magical kingdom that is full of strange and wonderful creatures. Explore and learn about the inhabitants of this mysterious realm. The national wildlife refuge where the tours take place is the best spot in the Costa Ballena area to see wildlife, especially mammals that come out at night.

  • Exploring the trails in search of wildlife 

  • Although no animal is guaranteed on any given night, it is common to see sloths and kinkajous

  • Look for the iconic Red-eyed Tree Frog

Important Details 

  • A minimum of 2 pax is required to book the tour

  • Reservations must be made before 12:00 PM the day of the tour

  • Visitors must fill out a waiver and include their passport number upon arrival

  • Tours take place from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, so guests will want to make dinner plans accordingly

  • The National Wildlife Refuge does not permit children 3 years of age and under to go on the night tour 

  • IVA 13% taxes are not included. 

  • Gratuity is not mandatory but it is kindly accepted in cash paid directly to the guide
